Commercial License Policy

License & Usage Terms

Every embroidery design purchase includes a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for the original purchaser.

Unless a separate Commercial License has been purchased, the following terms apply:

  • Your purchase permits you to stitch and sell up to 49 finished physical items using a single embroidery design. All stitching must be completed by the original purchaser.
  • Once 50 or more finished physical items are produced using a design, a Commercial License must be purchased before any additional items are made or sold.
  • If this design will be stitched, manufactured, or produced by any third party (including contract manufacturers, production partners, fulfillment companies, or wholesale suppliers), a Commercial License is required regardless of the number of finished items produced.
  • Each embroidery design requires its own Commercial License. A Commercial License purchased for one design does not extend to or cover any other design.
  • Commercial Licenses are issued on a per-design, per-business basis and may not be transferred, assigned, shared, or resold.

Purchasing a Commercial License

When purchasing a Commercial License, please include the following information in the checkout notes:

  • Your business or company name
  • The name(s) of the embroidery design(s) being licensed

This information allows us to properly issue and maintain a record of your Commercial License.

Ownership & Intellectual Property

A Commercial License grants additional production rights only. It does not transfer ownership of the artwork, embroidery design, digital files, copyrights, trademarks, or any other intellectual property.

All artwork, embroidery designs, graphics, and digital files remain the exclusive property of Cotton Stitch Designs and are protected by United States copyright law and other applicable intellectual property laws.

Use of all designs is also subject to our Copyright & Usage Policy, which remains in full effect regardless of the type of license purchased.

Agreement to Terms

By purchasing, downloading, using, or purchasing a Commercial License for any design from Cotton Stitch Designs, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Commercial License Policy and our Copyright & Usage Policy.
